With an adhesive gasket and a Quick Zip design that lets you pre-install your flex, the patented Quick Connect Start Collar can be installed in just seconds. There are no sharp tabs to bend back unlike metal collars, which take time and can cause serious painful injuries.
This universal collar is recommended for our REV Diffuser, but can also be used on metal and duct board plenums, as well as trunk lines, for forced air heating and air conditioning systems.
The “black on black” appearance of the quick zips and collar on our black-matted insulated back pan makes the back of the diffuser and collar practically invisible, enhancing the eye appealing aspect of the REV Diffuser.

Important note prior to installing the start collar
The REV diffuser’s back pan is made of molded fiberglass. It is highly recommended to cover the edges whenever you cut into fiberglass. In the above pictures, the edge has been covered with aluminum duct tape. The problem with this installation is that the aluminum tape will be slightly visible behind the face. For aesthetics reasons we recommend using certified black duct butter instead.
